Bowen
Bowen is located on the Whitsunday Coast 40 minutes drive north of Airlie Beach and is the main township positioned on the coast approximately 160km north of Mackay and 200km south of Townsville. The town is almost completely surrounded by the magnificent azure of the Whitsunday waterways.
The temperature in Bowens remains fairly constant year-round and it is possible to swim during the winter months. The hottest months are between November and March. The coldest is June.

Fishing
For the angler you can fish for Spanish and Spotted Mackerel and Tuna that usually school a few kilometers' off the mouth of the Don River during winter and trolling around the schools is often productive. Fishing the close reefs to Bowen foreshore may produce a variety of reef fish.
Diving and snorkeling at Horseshoe Bay, Grays Bay, Murray Bay and Rose Bay and Middle Island.
Front Beach
Front Beach is a popular spot for holiday-makers. When the wind is right, windsurfers converge on the beach to take advantage of the smooth water and great sailing.
Horseshoe Bay
The White sandy beach and azure waters are surrounded by large granite outcrops which provide a haven for many fish species and snorkelling in this area.
Collinsville
This historic mining town of Collinsville offers a relaxed lifestyle with much to keep visitors happy. Fill your day with a walk around the town centre looking at the murals, mining museum and having lunch at a heritage listed hotel.
The Big Mango
The Big Mango represents the delicious fruit which carries the name sake of the town "Bowen Mango".
Bowen Historical Museum
Bowen Historical Museum is a museum which traces the history of the area through its different displays including the geology of the district and the history of the early Aboriginal inhabitants through to the early settlers.
Parklands and Bushwalking
The Bowen Shire has created a great social and family atmosphere through the create of manicured parklands and complimentary BBQ areas. There are also well-maintained walkways winding through the native Australian bushland that fringes Bowen.
Facilities
The park is only a five minute drive from the Post Office and the business centre of Bowen. A two minute drive from the park will take you to Centre Point Plaza.
Coral Coast Caravan Park is conveniently close to the golf course, bowls and squash courts for the sport enthusiast. The park is also on the local bus route.
